The Internet Company of New Zealand (ICONZ), and our parent company Plan B Limited, reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notification.
These Terms and Conditions include important information regarding our UFB offer and are in addition to our standard residential and business terms.
ICONZ reserves the right to pass on any additional charges/price increases as a result in price changes from third party vendors with 30 days’ notice.
The fibre line connection from the street to your premises is installed and provided by your Local Fibre Company (LFC) and this enables ICONZ to offer you fibre services.
In accepting ICONZ Fibre Services, you agree to be bound by the LFC (End User) Terms as set out on their website. You must also sign a copy of their End User Terms (if requested) when your LFC comes to install the connection.

The property owner’s written consent to all work being undertaken is required prior to installation. If you are not the owner of the premises this needs to be provided to us on request.
Services may not be able to be supplied until all required authorisations, licences and consents are obtained.
Power is required for your internet and phone services to work on a fibre connection and services that require a fixed phone line to work, such as monitored alarms, faxes, medical alerts, or the interactive features of SKY digital may not work with a fibre connection.
If, on installation, it is identified that your fibre connection is not a standard installation, full details of the additional work required to connect your home will be discussed with you, including any additional costs that may apply. In this event you have the option of cancelling your order if you do not wish to proceed with the installation.
Please Note: Copper lines may be removed to lay the fibre, therefore you may not be able to go back to your existing services and restoration of your property will be limited to your LFCs restoration policy.
In the event that a connection is ordered and no one is available at the premises when the technician is scheduled to complete the installation; you will be required to pay a $95 including GST abortive site visit fee.
UFB is not available in all areas and speeds do vary depending on distance from your local exchange, your computer's capability, modem connection and wiring. Therefore speeds are indicative and based on a best efforts service.
Early Termination Charges and Data Charges
Connection contract terms are for 12 months and a 100% remainder of term Early Termination Fee applies.
All Data Plans are subject to our acceptable use policy.
Usage is based on the amount of data transferred through your UFB connection (both uploading and downloading).
Additional Data Charges for 80GB Plans
Additional costs will be charged per GB or part thereof for any data usage above and beyond your allocated plan. Depending on your connection speed, this will be charged at:
$2 per GB on a 30/10 plan
$2.50 per GB on a 100/100 or 200/200 plan
